MetaFloors is operated by Meta Supply Group Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Manchester, United Kingdom. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.
Registered company number: 17239866. Registered address: 12 The Hives, Mosley Road, Trafford Park, Manchester, England, M17 1HQ.
Questions about this policy or your data? Contact us at info@metafloors.co.uk or via our contact page.
2. The information we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- Order & account details: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, and order history.
- Payment information: processed securely by our payment provider. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
- Communications: messages you send us by email, WhatsApp or through the site.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser type, recorded in our server logs to keep the site secure and to limit abuse of our forms. If you agree to the cookies described in section 5, we also collect how you interact with the site through those services.
- Marketing preferences: if you ever tell us you want to hear from us, we record that choice so we can honour it. We do not run a newsletter today, and buying from us does not put you on a mailing list.
3. How and why we use it
We use your personal data to:
- Process and deliver your orders, and provide customer support (to perform our contract with you).
- Manage your account and saved addresses (contract / our legitimate interests).
- Take payment and prevent fraud (contract / legal obligation / legitimate interests).
- Email you about an order you have placed: confirmation, dispatch and delivery (to perform our contract with you).
- Send you marketing emails only if you have opted in to them (consent; you can unsubscribe at any time). We send none today.
- Improve, secure and maintain the website (legitimate interests).
- Meet our legal and tax obligations (legal obligation).
4. Who we share it with
We only share your data with trusted third parties who help us run the business, including:
- Payment providers (e.g. Stripe) to process payments securely.
- Delivery & courier partners to fulfil your orders.
- Hosting, email and IT providers that operate our website and systems.
- Professional advisers and authorities where required by law.
We never sell your personal data.
5. Cookies
We always set the cookies that are strictly necessary to run the shop: one that remembers what is in your basket, and one that keeps you signed in to your account. These are exempt from consent under the UK privacy regulations, because without them the shop cannot do what you have asked it to do.
We also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and products people find useful, so we can improve the shop. It sets cookies beginning _ga and records your IP address, your device and browser, and the pages you view. These are not necessary to run the shop, so none of them load until you agree. If you choose Reject, or simply never answer, nothing is sent to them at all.
You can change your mind whenever you like using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent stops the tags and deletes the cookies they set.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it, to fulfil your orders, provide support, and meet legal, accounting and tax requirements. Order and transaction records are typically retained for six years to comply with UK tax law. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
7. International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we take steps to ensure your data is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as UK-approved standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances.
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent (for example, unsubscribe from marketing) at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk), though we’d appreciate the chance to help first.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
